FCC Ámbito at Ecoencuentro 2025: Driving Photovoltaic Panel Recycling for a Sustainable Energy Transition

On November 5th, FCC Ámbito had the honor of participating in Ecoencuentro 2025, organized by Recyclia at the Rafael del Pino Foundation in Madrid. Now in its 13th edition, this event has become a benchmark forum in the field of circular economy and responsible management of electrical and electronic waste.

Under the theme “RAP: Essential for a Sustainable Energy Transition”, the event brought together institutional representatives, energy sector experts, and leaders in innovation and recycling. The program featured keynote speeches, corporate presentations, and roundtable discussions addressing the challenges and opportunities of Spain’s energy transition.

FCC Ámbito was represented by Carlos Mallén Loras, Manager of the Glass and Photovoltaic Panel Recycling Division, who took part in the roundtable titled “Challenges within RAP to Achieve a Responsible Transition”. During his intervention, Carlos Mallén shared FCC Ámbito’s experience in solar panel recycling, highlighting the crucial role of these facilities in recovering critical materials and supporting the sustainability of the photovoltaic sector.

Also present at Ecoencuentro were Luis Villacorta (Induraees), Víctor Badenas (FCC Ámbito, refrigerator recycling division), and Juan Pedro Felipe (Recilec), all representing companies within the FCC Ámbito group.
